As I mentioned in the last post, a significant part of Pakistan is verdant agricultural land. Here is a continuation of that theme around Peshawar:
These guys were selling strawberries along the road. A frequent sight (and the strawberries were really good):
Now, of course, it isn’t all rolling hills and manicured fields as this dusty, and admittedly unattractive, village we drove through reveals:
However, the majority really does look like this:
This is a typical homestead in the region… A functional home surrounded by a courtyard, which is itself surrounded by fields large enough to feed the family and provide a little extra money for necessities:
Our arrival in this village was a big deal. These lads on the motorcycle went all around the village informing everyone that a group of Westerners was visiting:
So, quite soon, even though the top of this hill was our destination and it was a very steep trek up there, we were surrounded by half of the village:

There was no limit to the entertainment derived by the villagers trying out my sunglasses or having their picture taken. They just loved it:
The road back to Peshawar… We went through the Khyber Pass early the next morning:
well.seems to me that u had fun there n that pakistani people hav great hospitality n there country is fertile..
