Sinai Peninsula (Egypt)

Photo Of The Day: The Saudi Coastline

I took this picture from the Sinai Peninsula across the Red Sea to the coast of Saudi Arabia just a couple of days ago…

At night, it was pitch black over there without any signs of human habitation at all. Farther up the coast, in Jordan, there were a number of visible lights from towns, villages and automobiles. Not in Saudi Arabia though. There it was just absolute darkness. I thought that was interesting.

  1. Oh yeahy :) the Jordanian coast is filled with hotels and resorts, al shiny :)

How come not in S.A.? Perhaps that particular strip is not touristic… or maybe it is simply not a hospitable area.
